Renyou’s therapeutic approach depends on the presenting difficulty of your child. Generally a combination of approaches are used in treatment. These include theories and practices from Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Attachment Theory and Mindfulness Based Therapy.

Assessment & Diagnosis

Jaquie offers diagnostic and assessment services for children aged 2 to 17 years.

Consultation

Jaquie offers different consultation services which include consultation to parents that are struggling with parental practices or the relationship with their child, or behavioural consulting to community agencies such as daycares or schools.

Parent Training

The Circle of Security is an early intervention model that focuses on facilitating attachment and security in children. This is a parent training model that is an excellent fit for families at risk for violence and abuse, neglect, addictions, and those who feel they need skill development as parents or want to enhance their relationship with their child

Bio | Jaquie Nickoriuk MSc

Child Pyschology
Jaquie is a registered psychologist who has a long history of working with children with developmental differences, behavioural difficulties and emotional challenges with a wide range of experience from front line intervention, to program development and assessment and diagnosis. She has worked with children with Autism for the past 20 years using a variety of approaches including Applied Behaviour Analysis, relationship development, and parent and teacher training. Jaquie’s focus as a psychologist since 2014 has been on assessment, diagnosis and intervention for children and adolescents with a wide range of developmental and behavioural differences. She has extensive experience and knowledge in assessment for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), attachment differences, learning disabilities, cognitive impairments, oppositional defiant disorder, mood and anxiety challenges, and parent child relationship difficulties. Jaquie is also well versed in adult autism assessment which has become an important part of her work in the last 6 years. She also works for a non-profit agency that provides various assessment, diagnostic and consultation services to children and families.

Jaquie completed her Bachelors degree at the University of Calgary and went on to receive specialized training in Applied Behaviour Analysis from the Penn State University. She then completed her Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from Capella University. Jaquie has a passion for Mindfulness Based Intervention and has been trained in the use of Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy from the UC San Diego Centre for Mindfulness.

Gwendolyn Pyschology

Gwendolyn Stockklausner, Registered Provisional Psychologist MACP – Yorkville University | B.Ed – University of Alberta Qualifying Play Therapist – Canadian Association for Play Therapy Gwendolyn is a Registered Provisional Psychologist who brings warmth, creativity, and connection to her work with children, youth, and families. She holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta.

Gwendolyn specializes in play therapy, child and adolescent mental health, and parental support. She is a Qualifying Play Therapist with the Canadian Association for Play Therapy and has completed all levels of foundational and advanced play therapy training through the Rocky Mountain Play Therapy Institute (RMPTI). Her graduate level training includes Advanced Theory and Techniques in Play Therapy and Specialized Play Therapy Training in Sandplay.

Believing that children communicate most naturally through play, Gwendolyn provides a developmentally attuned, evidence-informed approach to helping children process emotions, improve coping, and strengthen relationships. She supports clients ages 4+, using play-based and expressive techniques to address a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, grief, emotional regulation, trauma, and family transitions.

In addition to child therapy, Gwendolyn offers parent consultation, school advocacy, and
psychoeducation for families navigating developmental or behavioural challenges.
