Assessment & Diagnosis
Jaquie offers diagnostic and assessment services for children aged 2-17 years.
This includes assessment for:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (AD/HD)
- Intellectual Disabilities
- Anxiety and Mood Disorders
- Learning Disorders
- Oppositional Defiant Disorder or behavioural disorders.
What to Expect:
Assessments typically take 4-6 hours depending on the nature of assessment. Parents are not typically present for assessments due to standardization procedures. Session lengths are generally broken up into 2 hour sessions over a number of days. This is to ensure that the most accurate picture of your child’s abilities is obtained. Also, depending on the assessment, an additional clinician may be present in order to assist with observations and scoring of the assessment.
Costs for assessment are billed per hour at 4-6 hours of assessment time, 4-5 hours of report writing and a 1.5 hour feedback session. At the feedback session you will be provided with a report highlighting all of the assessment information, diagnostic issues and recommendations for home and school.
